Mentia awarded an SBIR grant from the NIH_NIA.
Funds will be used to conduct a Phase I Clinical Trial  measuring DevaWorld’s positive impact on ADL completion
We are excited to share the news that earlier this month, Mentia was awarded a $495,000 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institute on Aging of the National Institute of Health (USA). Funds will be used to conduct a Phase I clinical trial that measures DevaWorld’s capacity to assist persons living with dementia to undertake self-care activities of daily living with greater confidence and self-determination while reducing care challenges for care staff and families.

Our site partners on this project are Menorah Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, NY and Elder Ashram, CA. Guiding us on this journey are the distinguished research professors Mary Mittelman Ph.D., NYU, and Laura N. Gitlin Ph.D., Dean of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University.

We wish to acknowledge the NIA at the NIH’s project team for advancing research in the care of those impacted by Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias. Work begins immediately, and runs for 12 months.
